The answer is human gene mutations. A mutation is a permanent change in the DNA structure of a gene. Mutations are the means by which nature adds new variants into the genetic pool. Furthermore, the mutations are either inherited or acquired. And they can be beneficial, neutral or pathogenic. The advantageous traits get passed along through the generations. And they become a normal part of a species’ grander gene pool. Every time the human genome duplicates itself, there are about a hundred new mutations. They are quite common and usually negligible. But, certain gene mutations are capable of producing some extraordinary superhuman abilities.
Whether they are savants or geniuses, humans with real-life superpower abilities are numerous. Regardless how mainstream media does not emphasize their existence all that much.
